I can't really comment on Star Wars games, but I do remember the days when the LucaArts game studios used to produce games that weren't Star Wars related. The LucaArts team used to produce some amazing titles for the PC and even the platforms (Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Gladius come to mind). For the last 5 years though, they have been solely Star Wars from what I've seen.

your right and its sort of annoying. Full Throttle comes to mind for me when i think of Lucas Arts. but some of the way older star wars games like the first person shooter Dark Forces (slightly better graphics than the original Doom) is one of my favorite games ever.

I've heard it argued that the "old" LucasArts game studio was the best game developer ever. I can't say I disagree with that statement, as they sure did have some classics under their belt. Actually, I can't recall playing a game of theirs that I didn't like either. They all were great.

I'm not saying their new Star Wars games are bad either, just that I've never tried them to comment. I suppose Star Wars Lego or whatever it's called could be fun.

I personally enjoyed Force Unleashed even though it was incredibly short and somewhat repetitive.

The Knights of the Old Republic MMO should be amazing, definitely looking forward to playing that

My friend's friend is a major MMO player, and he can't stop talking about The Old Republic when I see him. He's showed me the trailers etc.

This game looks like it has a whole smack of potential if they can get the formula right. The more story driven aspects of the game could backfire if not implemented correctly... but who knows, this might finally be the WoW killer that everyone is waiting for.

Let's hope so.. WoW has grown too powerful, I would know, I've wasted quite a bit of my life on WoW.

A friend of mine told me it's going to have voice acting for the whole game as well, which could also backfire if they don't hammer the metaphorical nail on the head. No one wants to hear monotone and/or annoying voices all day.

Yes, it will have voiceovers for EVERY line of dialogue. Needless to say, it's going to take a lot of space up on the harddrive.

As for WoW, I liked it but I just don't have the time nor interest to grind. The compromise I've made is to run a private server off my own computer for me and a couple of friends. It's xp/money rates are cranked up to eliminate grinding while still being a reasonable challenge in instances. It sucks that I can't battleground, as I enjoyed that a lot when I was on official, but that's the price I pay for wanting to see the outside.

The last star wars game I played on the computer was my dad's back in '99.

Where you controlled a Tie-Fighter and would go on missions and stuff.

It was Awesome :O

I like Battle Front 2, the first one is pretty lame.

The star wars games used to be amazing back in the 90s. I guess they still are, but Lucasarts has been pimping them out a little too much.
