BLIZZARD JUST ANNOUNCED THE STARCRAFT II RELEASE DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

July 27th, 2010 for those of you who don't know.


Ah StarCraft... I was a teenager when the first StarCraft came out, and I played that game every day for 3 months straight. Then I woke up one day and it just didn't interest me anymore, in fact, no RTS has ever interested me since. I played StarCraft so much that it ruined me for the entire genre. It was just that good.

I'm still going to give StarCraft II a play of course (I'm not stupid), but the whole no LAN thing has me really pissed off. I have 3 computers on my LAN here at my place, plus laptop spots. I think the purchase of the game should entitle me to invite people over to play a StarCraft match on my network. It's unreasonable to expect me to pay for copies for each computer.

Blizzard... they just ain't the same cool company they used to be back in the 90s. I blame Activision

The past 5 days I've been absorbed by "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" for the Xbox360. It's like pixelated crack.

Too many good games, not enough lifetime. Come on geneticists, invent a DNA modification so we can live 500 years.

i got it to but the damn CD is cracked but its a loaner so not a real big loss

Just when the visitor count to Cheddar couldn't get any worse, Blizzard goes and releases Starcraft 2. There was a lineup of about 50 people outside my local Future Shop when I drove by around an hour ago (11PM). I heard the first people in line get free goodies.

Oh wow, it's midnight exactly as I write this... It's time!

Is there anything planned once you reach the 1mil visitor count? :o

hmmm.... good question! At the very least I'll do a giant update, but we have plenty of time to think about it as there still is another 300,000 daily visitors needed to reach the mark. It probably won't happen until next year at least.
