Most of the people that play the games on this site aren't registered.

Maybe you should encourage unregestered memebers to register by making some games only acceable by registered members. I mean, all in all it's free and it would help encourge players to register and encrease forum activity.

This was suggested before (over a year ago). This idea would only work if the restricted games were just available here on Project Cheddar, because if we start restricting access to widely available games people will just go "screw you, I'm going elsewhere". It's easier to use Google to find another flash site than it is to take the 5 minutes to register here.

That's one of the reasons why I wanted to make the Cheddar MMO, as it would only be available here and therefore encourage activity. Too bad I'm too much of a gamer myself that I spend most of my spare time playing games rather than spending it making them

Forgot that it was mentioned earlier, lol.

But yeah, I guess sit is kind of discouraging when you see that on a game site.

I know it is for me, thanks for clarifying it for me.

I wasn't sure if you were around when it was last mentioned. It was a long time ago and you might not have been a member yet. I suppose I could have checked the old posts to find out, but that would involve doing unnecessary work

Even though the forum may be dying, the website itself is not. It consistently gets 3000 visitors a day, which is huge compared to what it used to get a year ago. And I have no idea where these people are coming from. I don't advertise anymore, there are very few websites linking to here, and I've stopped making distributable games a long time ago (which is advertising as the Cheddar logo is in the games). So all in all I'm quite happy with how this site has grown, even if the forum has slowed down.
