Project Cheddar - Only the best Flash Games will do

This new server is fast!
Well, as you can tell, Project Cheddar has moved onto the new server. You are free once again to post comments, vote, register new accounts etc. The clone site hasn't been moved over to the new server though, and it will be awhile before it will be. The clone sites are a complicated beast and are a... problem to port over. When moved, I'll create a new clone site as a reward for your patience.
If you notice any funky issues with the website, PLEASE let me know. It's probably do to the move and the configuration files being off somewhere. |

| Time to move to a New Server... AGAIN! |

That's right folks, you've read that title correctly! Project Cheddar is moving to a new server yet again. This time though, I've arrange a server that will be great (i.e. expensive), so there should be no more slow downs or interruptions during peak usage hours. I hope the new server will resolve any speed issues that have plagued the current server over the last few months.
As of now, Project Cheddar has been backed-up and is ready for transport to the new server. This process usually takes days, and during that time any changes made here will not be carried over. So any votes, comments, or forum postings made now will be lost. I'll let you know when we are on the new server.
Thank you for your patience, and I hope you enjoy the giant update (9 games) I made today before I backed-up the server. |
| Has Nitrome Become Less Stingy? |

Nah, probably not.
For those of you who don't know what Nitrome is; they are a flash game website and game producer. Their games are good, but they rarely release them publicly for other websites, so I don't talk about them much because I can rarely host any of their games here. Well, recently I noticed many of their games showing up in the game feeds, so I've been posting them. I've posted 5 Nitrome games in under a week, which is insanely rare. Actually, that's not rare, it's a first. I've NEVER done it before. I don't know what's going on, but I get the feeling that they may be cleaning house. In any case, they produce good games and I'm glad I can host some of them on Project Cheddar.

Mega Mash - Here's a Nitrome game with an interesting concept. The 7 game cartridge is broken and the programming is all jumbled, effectively merging 7 different types of games into 1. One moment you'll be playing in a Super Mario type platformer, then you'll enter a side scrolling space shooter. It's definitely worth a try.

Tripod Attack - This isn't a Nitrome game, but it hooked me for some reason. Nothing spectacularly new about this game, you just go about frying humans with your laser cannon. I think this game appeals to me because they got the atmosphere "right". It's hard to explain, but sometimes a game just has that fun factor, even if I've played this type of game many times before. |

| Fancy Pants... there's a name I haven't heard in ages! |

Fancy Pants Adventure World 3 - When I first built and opened Project Cheddar over 4 years ago, the name Fancy Pants was all to common in the flash gaming world. Fancy Pants Adventure World 1 & 2 were VERY popular, and helped put flash gaming on the map. But then for some reason, the series stopped. I don't know what happened, but I always figured the developer(s) had achieved what he(they) wanted to achieve, and moved on to other projects. In any case, after all these years a new Fancy Pants is here. Will it live up to its legacy? |
| Happy Belated Long Weekend |

Yes, I'm wishing you all a happy long weekend... I know it's pathetic, but I'm doing it because I meant to post this last Friday but never got around to it
It's been over a month since I last posted on the front page, but rest assured I've been here uploading games. I wanted to give the projectgame.info post as much exposure as possible, so people know the clone sites have returned. The current clone site hasn't been used all that much since I launched it, so hopefully mentioning it here again will get people using it. And if you're not aware, clone sites help you play flash games on protected networks as the sites are new and most likely not blocked.
Anyways, back on the subject of games. Most of the games that I've uploaded over the last month have been on average, above normal quality in my opinion, so it's hard to pick which ones to showcase. Here's a couple of games that I played through to completion.

Gobtron - So stupid, but yet so addictive. Fling your snot at the humans to consume their DNA to grow your... Gobtron. This game got me hooked to the end.

Space is Key 2 - A reflex game that is infuriating and addictive at the same time. You will die... many many times.

The Love Letter - Alright, this game is hardly a game, but it's different. So different I played it through to the end, which isn't very hard. Still, it stands out with its uniqueness. I wish more flash games were creative like this, and not just the cookie cutter crap I keep seeing over and over again. |
